3Dog Camping was a German manufacturer of premium hand-built folding caravans and rooftop tents, founded in 2005 by Julian Nocke in Hamburg. Every unit was hand-manufactured at their Hamburg factory using Billabong Canvas — a double-twisted cotton-polyester blend imported from Australia, specially cleaned and refined to be extremely resistant, flexible, UV-resistant, and protected against fungal growth. The brand won the Outdoor Industry Award in 2009.3Dog Camping was acquired by the Erwin Hymer Group in November 2014 but unfortunately ceased operations at the end of 2019, unable to compete against low-cost East Asian imports despite their superior quality. CAMPWERK has since taken over the 3Dog Camping brand and handles all service and spare parts.Used 3Dog units are rare and sought-after due to the exceptional build quality, premium materials, and the fact that no new units will ever be produced.
