The 2026 Swift Conqueror 480 is a single-axle, two-berth touring caravan measuring 21'2" long with an MTPLM of 1,459 kg that returns to the Swift line-up by popular demand. At 7'5" wide, it follows a classic layout with long parallel bench seats at the front, a central kitchen and a spacious end washroom. The 480 is a practical choice for couples who want a well-specified caravan without the bulk of a twin-axle. The Conqueror sits a step above the Challenger in Swift's range, adding Alde radiator heating, upgraded interior trim and enhanced security features.

The bodyshell uses Swift's SMART construction: a PURe polyurethane timber-less frame with polystyrene insulation and GRP panels on all surfaces. Sidewalls are 25mm thick with balanced GRP inner and outer skins, the roof is 32mm with a hail-resistant bonded GRP finish, and the floor is a 44mm sandwich of GRP, plywood and Ravatherm insulation. The whole structure carries EN1645 Grade 3 thermal insulation certification.

Externally, the 480 rides on an AL-KO galvanised steel chassis with Euro-axle, fitted with 15-inch half diamond-cut 'Edge' alloy wheels, a steel spare and AL-KO Secure wheel lock. Shock absorbers are included for a smoother tow. A 120W roof-mounted solar panel provides off-grid charging, and there are external BBQ, mains and cold water shower points. The entrance door features a magnetic stay, interior moulded liner, concealed hinges and built-in window with blind. Updated exterior graphics are new for 2026.

The lounge has 1.95m (6'5") of headroom and features the new 'Iron' soft furnishing scheme with Sangallo Elm woodgrain and 'Grau' and 'Tora Tela' accent detailing. Upper locker doors are finished in 'Kasmere' with 'Glido' inlay and soft-close hinges. The floor is a Grey French Oak effect scratch-resistant vinyl, with sectioned removable carpets that can be bleached for cleaning.

A new Dometic panoramic front sunroof incorporates an integrated curved blind system, recessed lighting and speakers. Luxury curtains on twin curtain tracks dress the front windows, complemented by stylish wall pads. Sprung seat bases and tri-foam backrests are new for 2026, improving both daytime seating and the sleeping experience when the front lounge converts to a double bed. The bed make-up system uses slats retained on a track, and all windows have pleated blinds and flyscreens.

The central L-shaped kitchen provides generous worktop and storage space, with a new solid-surface worktop and flush-fitting chopping board for 2026. Cooking is handled by a Thetford thermostatic oven and grill with a three-burner gas hob and electric hotplate, all with electronic ignition and a glass lid with automatic gas shut-off. A flatbed ventilated microwave and a dual-hinged Dometic Series 10 133-litre slimline fridge with 12-litre removable freezer compartment are also fitted.

Additional kitchen features include a foldaway worktop extension, an extractor fan, a stainless steel sink with chrome swivel-spout tap, two new pull-out wire baskets in the kitchen cupboard, a new flush-fitting splashback with utensil hanging space, and soft-close drawers. A freestanding table is provided for dining.

The 480's end washroom is one of the layout's strengths, offering a full-width space. The design has been updated for 2026 with a thicker 'Levato' marble-effect work surface, new vanity bowl, new splashback and additional lighting. The Ecocamel Jetstorm showerhead has a push-button on/off for water conservation. The Thetford toilet has an electric flush and 18-litre wheeled waste tank. Handleless furniture gives the space a clean look, and the 31mm washroom door has a domestic-style lock and handle. A removable bleachable carpet, towel ring, shower hanging rail and storage shelf are also included.

The front chest has a soft-close drawer and a slide-out extending top. Overhead lockers use positive catches with chrome handles, and upper front corner lockers provide extra space. The spaceframe seat bases open from the front for access to larger items.

The Conqueror 480 uses an Alde radiator central heating and hot water system, a significant upgrade over blown-air systems. It offers daily programming via an LCD touchscreen with a choice of 1kW, 2kW or 3kW output settings. Perimeter radiators warm under-bed, under-seat and washroom areas evenly.

The 4-inch LCD colour touchscreen control panel manages power, battery levels, lighting (with soft-start dimming), water systems and environmental monitoring including internal/external temperature and humidity. The electrical system includes a 25-amp switchmode charger/transformer, at least six 230V sockets with a mix of USB-A and USB-C points, a wireless phone charging pad, and a 25-metre mains hook-up cable.

LED lighting is fitted throughout, including lounge downlights, under-counter kitchen lighting, over-locker lighting, adjustable under-locker spotlights with USB points, illuminated pelmets above side windows and strip lights above wardrobes. Entertainment provisions include an FM/DAB radio with USB and Bluetooth, a Status 570 directional TV/FM aerial with booster, and TV points with 230V, 12V and aerial connections.

The Conqueror 480 comes with a passive infra-red alarm system with tilt sensor and key fob operation, a step up from the Challenger's security setup. AL-KO ATC electronic stability control and an AKS 3004 stabiliser manage towing stability. Additional security includes one-key high-security locks, an entrance door deadlock, VIN CHIP identification concealed in the bodyshell, CRiS identity labels, and an AL-KO Secure axle wheel lock. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are standard.

The Swift Conqueror 480 is backed by a manufacturer 10-year bodyshell warranty, subject to annual servicing.
