2026 Swift Sprite Major 4 SB

The 2026 Swift Sprite Major 4 SB is a new 4-berth single-axle touring caravan featuring a transverse island bed, convertible front seating, and a rear washroom. It is a lightweight and affordable option from Swift’s entry-level Sprite range, well suited to those new to caravanning or looking for a practical, no-fuss tourer.

The Major 4 SB is built on an AL-KO Vario X chassis using Swift’s SMART construction. The bodyshell is a timber-less ‘PURe’ polyurethane frame with polystyrene insulation and GRP outer skins (25mm in the sidewalls, 32mm in the roof). The 44mm sandwich floor combines a GRP outer skin, ply upper, and Ravatherm core. A bonded hail-resistant GRP roof and full-height GRP rear panel with LED light clusters provide durability and a clean profile. The caravan is EN1645 Grade 3 rated for thermal insulation and holds European Whole Vehicle Type Approval.

Exterior features include 14" Edge alloy wheels with a steel spare, a grey graphics scheme, chrome grab handles, an impact-resistant skirt system, and fully double-glazed opening windows. The one-piece entrance door has concealed hinges and a chrome handle.

With 1.95m (6’5”) of headroom, the interior feels open. The new ‘Cherub’ soft furnishing scheme comes with sprung seat bases and tri-foam backrests, complemented by Sangallo Elm and Toro/Grau woodgrain accents and Grey French Oak scratch-resistant floor vinyl. A new panoramic front sunroof with an integrated curved blind system adds overhead light.

The transverse island bed uses an exclusive Duvalay Duvalite Strato mattress with platinum support layer and memory fibre, on an aluminium frame that maximises under-bed storage. Beech slat bases with sprung hinged tops allow easy access to storage beneath. Sectioned removable carpets (bleachable) cover the living areas, and every window has blinds and flyscreens.

The kitchen is equipped with a Thetford thermostatic oven and grill with a three-burner gas hob (glass lid with auto gas shut-off), a Dometic 10-series 98-litre under-counter fridge with freezer compartment, a stainless steel sink, and a freestanding table.

The rear washroom includes a boutique-style wash basin unit with cupboard and mirror, an Ecocamel Jetstorm showerhead with on/off button for water efficiency, new ‘White Stipple’ marble-effect shower wallboard, and a Thetford electric-flush toilet with an 18-litre wheeled waste tank.

Dual-fuel heating is handled by a Truma Combi Boiler with a digital programmable controller, distributing blown-air warmth under beds, seats, and into the washroom. The 12V control panel covers battery state, lighting, and water pump management. A high-flow onboard pump with chrome-effect taps supplies semi-rigid fresh water pipes, while large-bore underslung rigid waste pipes handle drainage.

Electrical provisions include a 25-metre mains hook-up cable, 25-amp switchmode charger/transformer, LED interior lighting, chrome-effect sockets and switches, and an FM/DAB radio with USB, Bluetooth, and auxiliary input. A Status 570 directional TV/FM aerial with booster is fitted.

One-key high-security locks and a deadlock on the entrance door provide physical security. A VIN CHIP identification system and CRiS identity labels deter theft and assist recovery. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are fitted as standard.

Overhead lockers with positive catches and chrome handles keep items secure on the move, with shelves in selected lockers. Seat bases use spaceframe construction with full front access for larger items.

The Lux Pack is available for an additional £995 and includes a microwave, AL-KO AKS 3004 hitch stabiliser, carpet set, and TV aerial.

A £500 deposit contribution from DF Capital is available when financing any 2026 Sprite caravan (T&Cs apply).
