2025 Swift Challenger 560

The 2025 Swift Challenger 560 is a 4-berth touring caravan built on an AL-KO galvanised steel chassis. With 1.95 m (6'5") of headroom throughout, the 560 layout features a rear island fixed bed, a well-equipped L-shaped kitchen, and a separate shower cubicle. Swift's SMART construction uses GRP body panels with a timber-free polyurethane frame, giving a strong, moisture-resistant shell backed by a 10-year bodyshell warranty. This particular caravan comes with a free Powrtouch EVO manual motor mover included.

At 25 ft long with an MTPLM of 1,650 kg, the Challenger 560 uses Swift's 'PURe' polyurethane timber-less body shell with polystyrene insulation and GRP outer skins — 25 mm in the sidewalls and 32 mm in the roof. The 44 mm sandwich floor has a GRP outer skin, ply upper layer, and a high-rigidity Ravatherm core. It carries EN1645 Grade 3 classification for heating and thermal insulation, verified by cold chamber testing, and has European Whole Vehicle Type Approval.

Outside, the caravan sits on 15-inch half diamond-cut alloy wheels with a steel spare and wheel lock. LED lighting features throughout — rear light clusters, side marker running lights, high-level brake light, and an awning light with key fob control. A 120 W roof-mounted solar panel is fitted as standard for 2025. External connections include a 230 V mains socket, BBQ point, TV point, and a Truma mains waterline connection. There are also fixing bars for an optional Thule Elite G2 rear-mounted cycle rack and a semi-recessed awning rail on both sides.

The lounge features the Galloway soft furnishing scheme with Sangallo Elm woodgrain cabinetry and Grey French Oak effect scratch-resistant floor vinyl. A panoramic front sunroof with an integrated curved blind system, recessed lighting, and speakers opens up the space. Sectioned removable carpets can be taken out and bleached for easy cleaning.

The rear island fixed bed is fitted with a Duvalay Duvalite Strato mattress featuring a platinum support layer, reflex foam, and memory fibre for improved airflow. Aluminium bed frames maximise the under-bed storage space, and a double-sided luggage door provides external access. Beech slat bases throughout the caravan have sprung hinged tops for comfort and easy access to storage beneath.

All windows are fully double-glazed with graphite grey tinted screen printing, and each has a pleated blind and flyscreen. Midi-Heki and Mini-Heki rooflights with flyscreens and concertina blinds provide additional ventilation.

New for 2025, the Challenger 560 has a redesigned L-shaped kitchen with a thicker Beige stone-effect worktop and a foldaway extension for extra preparation space. Cooking is handled by a Thetford thermostatic oven and grill with a three-burner gas hob plus one electric hot plate, all with electronic ignition and a glass lid with auto gas shut-off. A flatbed ventilated microwave with digital controls sits alongside.

The Dometic Series 10 fridge is a 133-litre tall slimline unit with a 12-litre removable freezer compartment. Storage includes soft-close drawers, two pull-out wire baskets, and a chrome crockery rack. An Omnivent provides extraction above the cooking area.

The washroom has been redesigned for 2025 with a Levato marble-effect work surface and additional lighting. The 560 model gets a one-piece 'Vellamo' shower cubicle with a curved sliding door on an improved smoother-running track. The Ecocamel Jetstorm showerhead has an on/off button to reduce water usage while maintaining pressure. A Thetford toilet with electric flush and 18-litre wheeled waste tank is fitted, along with handleless furniture and a removable bleachable carpet.

The Alde radiator central heating system handles both space and water heating, with daily programming via an LCD touchscreen and a choice of 1 kW, 2 kW, or 3 kW settings. Perimeter radiators warm areas under beds, seats, and the washroom. A 4-inch LCD colour touchscreen panel provides centralised control of power, battery level, lighting with soft-start dimming, and environment monitoring including internal/external temperature and humidity.

Interior lighting is fully LED — downlights in the lounge, under-counter kitchen lighting, over-locker lights, adjustable spotlights with USB points, illuminated window pelmets, and strip lights above wardrobes. A wireless phone charging pad is new for 2025, and at least four 230 V sockets with twin USB points are distributed throughout. Entertainment is covered by a DAB/FM radio with USB and Bluetooth, a Status 570 directional TV/FM aerial with booster, and two TV points.

A 25-metre mains hook-up cable and 25 amp switchmode charger/transformer are included.

The Challenger 560 comes with AL-KO Automatic Trailer Control (ATC) and an AKS 3004 stabiliser for confident towing. Security features include a passive infrared alarm with tilt sensor and key fob operation, VIN CHIP identification concealed within the construction, CRiS identity labels, and one-key high-security locks with a deadlock on the entrance door. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are fitted.
