About the Swift Basecamp

The Swift Basecamp is a compact crossover caravan designed for adventurous couples — hikers, bikers, paddleboarders, and dog owners. At just 2.28m (7'6") wide and 5.10m (16'9") long, it is Swift's most compact and lightest touring caravan, towable by most family cars with a MIRO of just 932 kg. The Basecamp features a distinctive aerodynamic profile with striking blue graphics, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a large rear access door for bikes and outdoor gear.

Unlike the Sprite's Truma heating, the Basecamp uses a Whale dual-fuel under-floor heater with blown-air distribution and a Whale dual-fuel rapid water heater. It comes equipped with the full Swift Command 7-inch LCD touchscreen — a higher-spec control system than even the Challenger. A 120W solar panel is standard for off-grid capability, along with an external BBQ point, external 230V socket, and external cold water shower.

For 2026, the Basecamp is streamlined to a single model: the Basecamp 2.
