2026 Bailey Discovery D4-2

The 2026 Bailey Discovery D4-2 is a compact 2-berth touring caravan measuring 18'5" long and 7'4" wide, designed for couples or solo tourers who want a lightweight, easy-to-tow package without sacrificing essential comforts. On a single axle, it sits comfortably within the towing limits of a wide range of vehicles — including many smaller cars.

The D4-2 is built around Bailey's Alu-Tech wrap-around bodyshell, which provides a smooth, aerodynamic profile that helps reduce drag while towing. TUV-tested alloy wheels and a stable-style entrance door are fitted as standard. Grade 3 thermal insulation means the caravan is rated for year-round use, even in colder conditions.

A Thetford Triplex combination oven, grill, and 3-burner hob handles meal preparation, while a Dometic 98L refrigerator keeps provisions chilled. Despite its compact footprint, the kitchen offers a practical setup for day-to-day touring.

The Truma Combi 2 blown-air system provides both central heating and hot water. A vertical-opening front skylight brings in natural light and allows ventilation.

A combination toilet, shower, and sink room is included, giving the D4-2 full end-to-end self-contained facilities despite its smaller dimensions.

A Status 570 roof-mounted directional aerial is fitted for TV reception.

With an MTPLM of just 998 kg, the D4-2 is one of the lightest caravans in its class. The AL-KO 3004 stabiliser hitch provides added confidence when towing, helping to manage any lateral movement.
